Flanked by allotments, new Friedrichdorf is characterized by use of remarkable fruit trees framing the newly designed plazas and open spaces. The well-defined path system is always accompanied by vertical elements, like walls or hedges. Specimen trees and hedges are reflecting the garden theme with their attractive fruit and flowers. West of the main access road a large cherry grove is being established, which expands to the southern border of the market place. Here the cherry grove symbolically marks the location of the former menagerie garden and welcomes all visitors and residents with it's large shaded garden area. The market place is the functional and designed focal point of the new village.
