The site is located in the very north west corner of the Chengdu High-Tech Zone. Thecomposition of the buildings forms a self related landscape space around an artificial lake in the centre. The complex arrangement of the 8-shaped buildings defines various spaces differing in scale, density and sight. Although only two different types of buildings are used a great variety of different spaces is generated. While the Software Production Buildings are arranged around the lake, the canteens are located in second row, but at the same time closer to the neighbouring landscape. The walk to the canteen becomes a very recreating leisure walk offering beautiful views into the diversified park.
The main modules of the masterplan are the Software Production Buildings. The two inner courtyards are a link between the landscape space of the park and the rectangular architecture of the building. These yards are treated like small walled gardens and each one has its own theme.
